Scripture

The Bible is the God-inspired, authoritative, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God. The Scriptures exist to reveal the nature and will of God as well as the way of reconciliation between God and man through Jesus Christ. Subsequently, Scripture informs the life and destiny of all in the Church. (Deuteronomy 4:1-2 | Psalm 119:16 | Proverbs 30:5-6 | Matthew 5:17-18 | Mark 13:3 | Luke 24:13-35 | John 17:17 | 2 Peter 1:19-21; 3:15-16 | 2 Timothy 3:15-17 | Titus 1:2-3 | Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12-13 | 1 Thessalonians 2:13 | 2 Peter 1:19-21 | Jude 1:3 | Revelation 22:18-19)

God

There is one God, eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each are equal in nature and equally deserving of worship and obedience. God the Father orders all things according to His own purpose by means of righteous justice, perfect love, and divine grace. God the Son is Jesus Christ, revealed in the flesh through the virgin birth as fully God and fully man. His life, death, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God the Father provides the means of salvation for humanity. God the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to believers and enables them to live a godly life. (Genesis 1:2-26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6 | Matthew 1:18-19, 2:24, 3:16-18, 28:19 | John 1:29, 3:5-7, 5:23-29, 10:15-36, 14:8-19, 15:26, 16:7-15 | Acts 1:5-8, 2:30-33 | Romans 1:4-7, 3:24-25, 5:8-10, 6:5-10, 8:9-34 | 1 Corinthians 1:21-22, 2:10-13, 6:19, 8:4-6 | 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, 13:14 | Ephesians 1:4-13, 4:4-7 | Philippians 2:5-11 | Colossians 1:14-17, 2:9 | 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 | 1 Timothy 1:15, 2:5-6 | Titus 3:4-5 | Hebrews 1:2-8, 2:4, 7:25-26, 9:14-24, 10:12-21 | 1 Peter 1:2-19, 2:24, 3:18 | 2 Peter 1:21 | 1 John 5:7-12 |Revelation 20)

Humanity

Humankind was created by God in His image, which gives every life inestimable worth and significance. However, initiated by the sin of Adam, humanity sinned against the one true and perfectly holy God, transmitting sin to the entire human race. Due to inherent moral corruption, mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of holiness and is therefore deserving of God’s wrath. Graciously, God has sent a savior. See Salvation. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7-17, 3:1-19 | Psalm 14:1-3, 51:5 | Isaiah 43:7 | Jeremiah 17:9 | John 1:8, 3:36 | Romans 3:9-23, 5:10-25, 9:19-24 | 1 Corinthians 2:14 | 2 Corinthians 4:4 | Ephesians 2:1-3 | Colossians 1:16 | 1 Timothy 2:13-14 | James 3:9 | Revelation 4:11)

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God by grace and through faith in Christ Jesus’ substitutionary sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Once convicted by the Holy Spirit of their sins, those who repent and believe in Jesus as savior and Lord are saved from eternal punishment in hell into a right relationship with God and a promise of eternal life. (Psalm 119:11 | Isaiah 55:6-7 | Ezekiel 36:26-27 | John 3:3-7, 5:24, 17:17-19 | Luke 13:3 | Acts 2:38, 3:19, 11:18, 20:32 | Romans 2:4, 3:20-26, 4:6, 6:1-22, 8:4-33, 10:9 | 1 Corinthians 1:2-30, 6:11-20, 12:3, 15:51-58 | 2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:5, 5:21, 7:10 | Galatians 5:16-25 | Ephesians 2:10, 4:22-24, 5:17-26 | Philippians 2:11-12, 3:12 | Colossians 2:14, 3:9-16 | 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4, 5:23 | 2 Thessalonians 2:13 | Titus 3:5 | Hebrews 2:11, 3:1, 10:10-14, 13:12 | 1 Peter 1:2-6, 1:14-16, 2:24 | 2 Peter 1:4-10 | 1 John 2:1-2, 3:2-9 | Jude 24-25)

The Church

The Church (capital C) is all true believers, everywhere, throughout time. A church (lowercase c) is a local body of people associated by common belief in the Gospel and engaged in Biblical fellowship. The role of the church in the world is to make disciples by proclaiming reconciliation with God by the Good News of Jesus Christ.
